SVM’s UK equity long/short fund was launched in October 2002 and focuses principally on UK mid and small cap. Like Highlander, its emphasis is on long and short stock alpha and is also variably biased. SVM Saltire is co-managed by Colin McLean and Margaret Lawson but also takes ideas from the whole investment team and its fundamental research and stock selection skills.
