Institutional Funds SVM manages a range of pooled and segregated products for a variety of institutional clients. Our approach to investment management is straight forward - back our judgement and generate returns. We manage original, high conviction portfolios often with a bias to under researched medium and smaller sized companies. We are genuine stockpickers who aim to achieve alpha through the quality of our research and our contrarian approach. We are prepared to challenge consensus both in our approach to company analysis and portfolio construction.
Hedge Funds We manage two long/short equity funds - Highlander Fund (Pan Europe) and Saltire Fund (UK Equity). Both are variable bias funds with a focus on alpha and risk control. The manager uses fundamental company analysis to reach investment decisions and a number of proprietary tools to control risk. Our investment team all undertake research and contribute ideas to the portfolios. The portfolio manager is Colin McLean who has over 15 years' experience in managing long/short funds.
